Academic Planning: Response from Principal Woolf (22 October 2010)

In response to the open letter of 20 October 2010, an email from Daniel Woolf to Mark Jones, 22 October 2010:

Dear Mark,

Thank you for your open letter of October 20th concerning future steps in the Academic Planning process. I will leave it to Susan Cole to respond on behalf of SCAD. For my part, I continue to believe, as I have stated a number of times, that completion of the Academic Planning process will require public debate in a variety of forums and I have communicated this fact to Senate. Speaking of Senate, as the primary academic forum on campus, it seems to me that it is ideally situated to focus this debate.

Finally, I would hope that as the process moves forward, we will be able to, as you suggest, direct our attention to specific questions.
